Want to do something fun and unique for your family? Or how about for your child’s birthday, or a moms group, church group, neighborhood association or work retreat?

This summer, the Rockford Park District is partnering with Discovery Center to offer riverboat excursions. The Forest City Queen will make port at the dock behind Discovery Center on select Tuesdays including June 13 and 20; July 11 and 25; August 1 and 8. Rides depart at 11 am, 12 pm and 1 pm.

The riverboat can seat up to 49 passengers and will provide 45-minute cruise on the Rock River. Tickets are $4/person in addition to general admission to Discovery Center and no advance reservation is required. For groups of 15 or more, discounted pricing is available with advance reservations.
