Annual Fund Donations

By contributing to Discovery Center and our many educational programs and activities, you're helping to support quality educational science, math and art education for all age groups, and your gift is tax-deductible! A gift to our Annual Fund is the easiest and most helpful way to support the Museum. Your unrestricted gift in any amount will provide general operating support, which helps keep our admission fees affordable, helps provide a Free Day every Thursday, enhances educational programs and the development of new exhibits or programs.

Matching Gifts

You can double your gift to our Annual Fund. Many area corporations support the generosity of their employees by matching their contribution. Please contact the human resources department of your employer for forms and details, or click on our link to view companies that provide Matching Gift Programs.

Foundation Building

Consider a gift to the Discovery Center Endowment Fund and help keep our admission fees affordable for all. Your gift will help strengthen the community and contribute to the quality of life in Northern Illinois. It can create a lasting legacy for yourself and your family within the area. You can also remember loved ones with your gift. Your gift can be in the form of cash, stocks, bonds or property. Please consult your financial planner to learn about the many tax benefits you will receive or call the Development Department at 972-2834 if you would like to discuss a planned gift to the Museum.

The Discovery Center Endowment is established with the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

Memorial and tribute gifts can be made in honor of a loved one or to note a special occasion (anniversary, birthday, etc.).  Memorial and tribute gifts are fully tax deductible and the recipient (s) of the tribute, or designated person in the case of a memorial gift, will receive a letter announcing your generous gift in their honor or in honor of a loved one.
