Girl Scout Badge Workshops

Complete your badge requirements at Discovery Center Museum!

Advance registration for badge workshops and advance payment are required.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds are available up to one week prior to the event.
Discovery Center reserves the right to cancel events; in which case, a full refund will be issued.

These are drop-off workshops. If you would like to wait for your child, you are welcome to enjoy the museum or wait for your child in the seating area outside the workshop classroom.

Scout Workshop Pricing & Booking

Scout fee: $20 for a single 2-hour class or $35 for 2-day workshop
Individual sign-up, drop-off workshop
Maximum openings for 25 scouts (excluding Makerspace and Art Studio workshops)
Registration closes 2 weeks before workshop
Museum visit add-on option: $7 per person discount admission for girls and adults with advanced online registration for a museum visit after the workshop

June 11 & 12 - Daisy Numbers in Nature and Shapes in Nature badges Click to register

Nature is a work of art! Get outside and hunt for natural patterns and shapes, then create art inspired by nature! Scouts will earn the Daisy Numbers in Nature and Shapes in Nature badges. We will be going outside, so bring sunscreen if you’d like!

July 23 & 24 - Brownie Craft & Tinker and Create & Innovate badges (20 slots) Click to register

Anyone can be a maker! Learn about tools and invent something new in the Discovery Center Makerspace! Scouts will earn the Brownie Craft and Tinker badge and Create and Innovate badge.

August 13 & 14 - Junior Mechanical Engineering badges Click to register

How did machines move before electricity? Explore the power of water, wind, and simple machines as you engineer awesome creations! Scouts will be working towards Junior Mechanical Engineering badges 1-3.

1-day Workshops

September 14 - Daisy Art and Design (12 slots)

Calling all Daisy designers! Get inspired and explore different mediums as you create fabulous works of art in the Discovery Center Art Studio. Scouts will earn the Daisy Art and Design badge.

September 29 - Junior Gardener

Gardeners are scientists too! Learn what it takes to design and grow your own garden. Scouts will earn the Junior Gardener badge.

October 12 - Brownie Bugs

We’re totally buggin’! Explore the tiny world of bugs and earn the Brownie Bugs badge.

October 27 - Daisy Robotics

The future is here! Scouts will interact with real robots as they learn what robots do and how they move. Scouts will be working towards Daisy Robotics badges 1-3.

November 9 - Junior Detective

Grab your magnifying glasses and hunt for clues! Talk in secret codes and identify evidence under a microscope as you learn about forensics. Scouts will earn the Junior Detective badge.

December 8 - Brownie Senses

Get in touch with the world around you! Scouts will engage in activities that explore all 5 senses and earn the Brownie Senses badge.
